Rating by category:
As this was my first visit to Christchurch I thought the location of the Heritage was excellent and the staff were very helpful.
The hotel could do with a comfortable bar area. The bar next door would not entice anyone to stay for any length of time.
The room was a great size, big comfortable bed and full length mirror. Loved the 11am checkout also.
Had no view.
The location was good, the staff were helpful and the room was very comfy and clean.
The beds were extremely comfortable, the hotel was very close to town, the staff were great
I was very impressed with the layout of the room - the closeness to the square and the friendliness of the front desk staff
The king size bed, was 2 singles and therefore wasn't comfortable for a couple
Location, Restaurant, staff, room was reasonable.
No windows (which opened) in room. While the room was comfortable, it felt a bit like a cell and we were keen to get out after only a short time.
Staff very welcoming. Pleasantly suprised my room was ready early as I arrived midday. Lovely large room, close to everything in Christchurch, fantastic location in a beautiful city. Ideal for busy conference as still able to see Cathedral etc.
welcoming staff after a long day and very helpful, good room with plenty of space and clean.
The location is perfect. The leisure facilities and restaurant are nicely set in a different, more attractive building.
To say I was disappointed with the hotel would be an understatement. I thought I'd splash out and paid a premium for one night here, only to find a better hotel just around the corner (for half the price). The room was branded 'deluxe' but I felt it was badly in need of refurbishment. Perhaps it should have been named a 'distinctly average' room. The swimming pool is actually a one and a half lane strip not suitable for more than one person. The photo on the hotel's page is VERY deceptive.
Centrally located to everything. Excellent service
The choice of wine was limited in the room. Many people don't drink chardonnay any more or the heavier red wines.
That it was so central to everything we needed during our stay in Christchurch
Central location, the room was great for an extending business travel stay.
On arrival (late at night) I had heaps of luggage and was offered no help.
The hotel is in a good location and is good value for money if you get their discounted rates offer. The restaurant is not in the hotel it is in the adjacent building,I have found it to be a little expense and small meals. There are a number of good restaurants within close walking distance. I would definitely stay there again if i can get their discounted rates on Booked.net.
The location is fantastic and the day spa is incredible! (didn't visit the bar or restaurant.) Hotel staff were very nice.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. The furniture was not very comfortable and kitchen/bathrooms dated and not incredibly clean.
On the second stop of our trip at this hotel they upgraded us to the executive floor. There was no charge for valet parking. The total price was also reasonable. The decor was simple and chic, the staff helpful.
